Remembering Through Poetry

Beyond Forgetting: Poetry and Prose about Alzheimer's Disease, a collection of poems and prose by authors who have for the most part served as caregivers for loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's.

It allows the writers and readers alike to be able to move beyond the forgetting that defines Alzheimer's and remember, honour and share the memories of how our lives have been touched by this disease.  Memories that become dimmer as time elapses, but marked in the minds of the ones that are left behind.

Perhaps in the process, it allows for some dignity and respite from lives and souls lost.
